If you’ve been following me for a little while, you may remember my recent search for new eyewear earlier this year. Back in January, I ordered a home try on of Warby Parker. I had so much fun trying the five pairs I ordered and I ended up really loving a few. I narrowed it down and purchased the Oliver fit in ‘striped olive’ and I’ve been happily wearing them ever since! You can read about my home try-on experience here.
It seems like I ordered these overalls forever ago. They belonged to the first haul of maternity clothes I ordered and I tried them on with my mom. We both really liked them, but it took a while for my belly to fit into the waist! H&M currently has them in a lighter wash, perfect for summer, and also a destroyed denim pair in non-maternity, which are super cute!
The last time I wore overalls was probably in the 90’s.
Here we are, friends. The last week of June. It’s definitely not too early to be thinking about 4th of July plans. What are you doing this year?
We often have a party with family and friends, and we’re hosting this year! Typically we grill hot dogs and burgers and everyone brings a dish to pass. We play yard games (bean bag baseball is a crowd favorite- have you heard of it?) and make s’mores. We can usually see local fireworks from our front yard and it’s so nice not to fight crowds and parking. We just all move our chairs to the front of the house at 10 PM and enjoy.
The last several years I remember the weather being pretty warm on the 4th, which is typical of July weather in Michigan. Read More →
For a little Friday fun, I’ve decided to mix all the prints for today’s blog post. 😉 You might remember this floral dress from Wren & Ivory from a few weeks ago. I also ordered this top from their bump friendly selection. It’s another great piece that can be worn pregnant or not.
I love the stripe and floral combo. I couldn’t help myself with adding in a little leopard for good measure. Print mixing is my favorite, and I love adding these leopard sandals to most of my summer outfits. My exact pair is from last year but I found a super similar pair here. Read More →
When I was planning pregnancy related content for the blog, I knew this was a subject I wanted to tackle. I started knowing not very much about maternity style, and I’ve learned quite a bit about maternity clothes so far. I’m sure I’ve still got more to learn as I continue my pregnancy and my belly keeps growing, but I wanted to throw this out there for any moms-to-be who may be feeling a little overwhelmed or lost.
The world of maternity clothes is not as straightforward as I thought it would be, so these are my tips on how to make sense of it all and avoid feelings of helplessness when shopping for some better fitting clothes. Read More →
