Happy Friday! I’m pretty excited about this work-to-weekend series. Did you catch Monday’s post? This month I’m focusing on wardrobe versatility and how I make my favorite pieces do double duty. Monday I styled this lace back sweater from Banana Republic for an office-ready look. Today, I’ve got the weekend on my mind, and this is a perfect casual look to transition from winter to spring.
For a slightly different look, I left the lace back untied. The sweater came untied, and I actually wore it that way the first time I pulled this sweater on. In Monday’s post for work I tied the back, as shown on the model on the Banana Republic website. I think it looks cute both ways and the option adds to the overall versatility.
I purchased this sweater in a recent sale, and I also picked up this adorable mini-crossbody. Look at the scalloped detail- so cute! All things with scalloped edges continue to be popular this spring. These flats are from J.Crew Factory last spring.
This is a perfect outfit for a day date or to grab coffee with a friend. I’ll definitely be reaching for this sweater during the week, and again on the weekends. If you missed Monday’s post, you can read it here, and I’ve also included a photo of that look if you scroll down.
