Easter weekend was absolutely beautiful, and it’s finally feeling like spring time. Today I’m talking about my new favorite wood watch timepiece and I want to know, how are you making the most of your time this spring?
Time is one of those things I’m always running out of. 🙂 Too many things on my to-do list and not quite the right amount of time to do them all in. Over the coming weeks, I hope to do some spring cleaning and yard clean-up. We also have a few house projects that have been on my list for a while, like a new backslash in our kitchen and hanging a new light fixture in our eating area.
More importantly than all of those, I’m really looking forward to going outside more often and getting more fresh air. It’s been nice to have the windows open, and go for longer walks on the weekends.
Keeping track of how much time I spend being productive and how much time I spend enjoying life is definitely a balancing act. One that I’m always working on.
I’ve become a little more discerning about the watches I wear over the last couple of years because my younger brother has actually studied horology to become a watchmaker. And as much as I love the style and look of some watches I own, he sometimes chastises me if he knows the watch movement isn’t high quality.
When I first discovered JORD watches, I reached out to my brother and asked him if he had heard of the company and what he could tell me about the quality? He is definitely a watch snob and does work on high end watches- some more expensive than a few semesters of college.
He definitely approved of the sleek and modern wood watch design, but more than that he praised the Swiss movement, and said he could recommend a watch with a Swiss made movement.
Armed with what I deemed as an appropriate amount of consumer knowledge, I selected the Frankie 35 series in zebrawood with a champagne face. JORD gave great instructions on how to measure my wrist, and they adjusted the links for my perfect fit (I prefer my watches a bit loose). So far, I’m enjoying the unique craftsmanship and the natural look of my wood watch.
