Last weekend felt like spring was finally here! When I cleaned out my closet I got rid of lots of off season items, which it’s now getting to be the season for. 🙂 A few weeks ago I ordered this grey swing dress from Gap, and I was happy to wear it last weekend with the beautiful weather we were having. I styled it with some of my spring essentials from past years.
This dress also comes in green, black and a striped print and it is so comfortable. I love the long sleeves for spring. When I first tried it on, Mathew said it looked like pajamas. If you’re looking for something more fitted, I recommend sizing down. I ordered a small, and actually stopped in the store to see if they carried an XS I could try on. They didn’t, and I really liked the length of the sleeves so I decided to keep the small. Pairing the dress with a belt and/ or a jacket gives it the structure it needs.
It’s so important to stock a closet full of staples. I love a denim jacket for both fall and for spring. It’s a great layering piece and adding a jacket always makes me feel put together. I’ve had this particular denim jacket since college, and I’ve gotten so much use out of it. A classic denim jacket will never go out of style, so it’s a great piece to invest in.
I grabbed a leather belt, my Fossil crossbody, some fun, statement earrings and called it a day. This is such an easy outfit, and can be worn on the weekend, running errands, or even to work if your office dress code is more casual. I wore it on Saturday afternoon, and kept it on for church in the evening.

I linked some other great long sleeve dresses as well as some quality denim jackets. I love the ease of dresses, and long sleeves are perfect for this cooler spring weather. I think this grey swing dress is going to be a favorite of mine this spring and summer.
Do you wear dresses often? Have you seen this one that all the bloggers seem to own? What about a denim jacket? If you’ve had one for a while, I’d love to hear how long it’s lasted. What fun weekend plans have you got (I know, it’s only Wednesday- but I can’t help it)? Any fun Easter traditions or egg hunts?
PS – what are you wearing for Easter this weekend?
