Happy Friday! It’s been a long week! Today I’m sharing a cozy sweater I’ve been wearing at least once a week lately as well as my favorite puffer vest. Which doesn’t actually zip anymore, but it’s still warm and helps me feel put together. 🙂
Before we get to the outfit, I have a couple things I wanted to share.
First, I completely blanked and forgot to share a link to my friend D’s website where she featured me and a two other stylish ladies in a recent post. You can find the post here. D’s website, Be You and Thrive, is a great place to find inspiration for living life intentionally. She frequently highlights other creatives and shares some amazing stories. I’m honored she choose me for her style feature, and I would love it if you would check her out. She runs a podcast too!
Second, if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you may have seen me share a little pregnancy update. We found out at our prenatal appointment last week that our baby is in the breech position. I plan to share a third-trimester update on Monday, and I can give more detail, but we tried an ECV procedure where the doctor tried to manually flip the baby on Tuesday. The procedure was not successful in encouraging a flip, and so far none of my other at home remedies or chiropractic care have been successful either.
If you’re not familiar, standard procedure for first-time moms with a breech baby is a c-section, so, for now, we’re looking at a change in birth plan from natural birth and labor to a scheduled c-section. It’s not what we wanted or hoped for, but we’re glad the news is that the baby is only right side up instead of suffering from some other health issue. I can share more next week, but that’s the update for now if you were wondering. 🙂
I’m 38 weeks pregnant now, and definitely feel like it! Mathew and I took photos over the weekend and when I loaded them onto the computer I had an “oh my” moment. This belly is big, and I’m feeling huge lately. 🙂 Comes with the territory of being eight and a half months pregnant I guess.
Anyways, this cream sweater has been a wardrobe staple since the weather has cooled down significantly. Michigan’s weather went from 70’s to 40’s real quick. I wouldn’t have minded some days in the 60’s or 50’s! I’m not sure where fall is this year.
None of my jackets or coats or any outwear fit over the bump, and I’m not looking to find anything to accommodate me at this point. This puffer vest is a classic from J.Crew Factory. It’s slightly different from the J.Crew version, but the price point is great and I love the fit and warmth it provides.
Most years I refuse to bring out the winter coats until December, so I love vests and layers for this time of year. I’ve linked my vest along with more puffer vest options below.
