Since I’m only posting twice each week, I have been trying to focus more on quality content and sharing more meaningful posts. Today I wanted to share this simple athleisure look (boy, and I glad I get to be a mom during the athletic wear trend) but also some thoughts on what I feel like has been the hardest part of being a mom so far.
Outfit Details: blush funnel-neck sweater (SO soft!) | dark wash denim | velvet fold over clutch | blush slides, love these ones with a bow | similar statement earrings, these are great too | lipstick in ‘spicy blush’ | similar sunglasses
Happy February! With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I’m sharing a Valentine’s Day-inspired look for date night today. I love blush for any time of year and I fell in love with this super soft blush funnel-neck sweater. I love the neckline and the sleeve detail. It looks great tucked in and untucked.
Outfit Details: denim bib overalls (also love the look of this pair, these ones, and these distressed overalls are super affordable) | striped tissue turtleneck (last worn here) | similar ankle boots | diaper bag (dupe for this one– I carried the mini version here) | earrings | lipstick in ‘spicy blush’
Happy Tuesday! We’ve been staying cozy so far this week after the drop in temperature. This past weekend was so gorgeous- sunshine and temps in the 40’s! It felt like we were living someplace other than West Michigan!

I can’t tell you how many times last winter I wanted to get out and shoot or we even did go and take photos, but they turned out looking so depressing because of the blue overtone from cloudy skies and cold weather. This winter has been a breath of fresh air after last year’s winter. Read More
Happy Tuesday! I’m back from a longer than anticipated blogging break. I totally intended to be back to regular posting by the first week of January, but our life after the holidays was somehow more hectic. We celebrated four family birthdays plus Benjamin‘s baptism within the first two weeks of January. Plus, we were working on putting our basement back together after finally having new carpet installed after our little flooding incident back at the end of October. Then we had some crazy below freezing temps and some gloomy and snowy days (not great for photography) and then I had a cold and didn’t feel like leaving the house!
It was really one thing after another in our schedules. It was a longer break than I wanted, and I’ve totally missed blogging. All that being said, I am going to switch up my posting schedule for the next several months. Instead of posting three days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) I’m going to be posting two days each week with regular posts going live on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Read More
